Interleaved 2 of 5 Barcode Font
History
Developed in 1972 by Intermec, this high density, continuous barcode which encodes pairs of numbers. Interleaved 2 of 5 allows only the encoding of even number of digits, for the conversion of odd you must add a leading zero to your data.
The name Interleaved 2 of 5 is derived from the nature of each character in the barcode. Each character encodes two numbers, the first number is encoded in five black bars, second number with the five white spaces.
Interleaved 2 of 5 uses an optional Modula 10 check digit.
