Fixed bugs in the queue management code, which 	would lead to print queues 
being stopped, requiring a system reboot to bring them online. 
Added a feature to queue management code to check if the printer queues are 
still enabled, and if any are stopped, to restart the queue. The BarStorm 
sends a syslog warning in case it has to do this, as in normal operation 
this shouldn't be necessary.

Added a backend error handler for the raw print output code, to better deal 
with network outages. For long network outages, failed print jobs will be 
re-sent to the printer. (For short network outages, print jobs may still be 
corrupted, because the raw print protocol doesn't provide a mechanism which 
can tell us if the printer has tried to output a half-sent print job.)

Improved the formatting, quantity and usefulness of syslog messages.

Extended Syslog logging details
Changed the way Cupsd is configured to allow "in process" jobs to NOT overload 
MaxJob Settings, in both LPR and Raw port configurations.

Fixed minor issue relating to DNS settings, when DHCP Setting was changed to 
IP Setting.

Fixed issue with socket backend looping infinitely. 
Will now follow a Maximum Finite retry process.
If the error handler fails to send the job after trying via the socket backend 
10 times, then it gives up, and sends a syslog message to say that it failed
to print the job, and that that job has been lost. The full process of tries 
and re-tries takes 65 minutes.

Fixed minor issue when the network logging fails to start at boot time. 

This fix should be rolled out to all users, especially those who are 
experiencing problems with the Barstorm refusing new jobs after receiving 
and printing exactly 490 (or MaxJobs-10) print jobs.

This fix applies both if the user is streaming data to the Barstorm using 
LPD or if streaming the data raw to one of the barstorm's tcp ports.

The bug affects all users using Barstorm v2.2/20070429_1756 code, but 
some users may have units whose configuration (in cupsd.conf) actually 
protects them from experiencing the problem.

VERY IMPORTANT

From January 2008 there are now 2 Versions of the BarSTORM Platform in 
circulation. GX (original) and LX (enhanced), The LX will eventually  
superceed the GX version.

Using the wrong firmware on either unit will cause:
your BarSTORM to corrupt and STOP working, with *NO* user fix available !!

Ensure you have the correct version before you proceed, if in doubt contact us.
Serial Numbers containing "L" are LX Boxes
Firmware containing -lx- is for LX Boxes only
Firmware containing -gx- is for GX Boxes only
Firmware NOT containing -lx- or -gx- should NOT be used
